Bologna - Children’s book fair -
30 Marzo, 2006

Yesterday I took the train at 7.30 a.m. from Roma Termini to reach Bologna.
My company displays its publishing products in the Children’s Book Fair every year.
I was excited to go there and see the Fair with my own eyes. Last year I didn’t go and I could only admire the pictures taken by my collegues.
Some coworkers of mine spent several days at the Fair, sleeping in comfortable miniflats rented by our President.
Not me. I was the only one, along with a graphic named Marina, to go there for just a few hours and come back home. Bad luck…
The trip was quite stressful and my feet at the end of the day were toast!
Our visit was fast and furious. We hadn’t enough time to see everything. We skipped many stands and missed a lot of interesting events. We just rushed from one point to another, trying to catch as many details as we could.
We didn’t know people nor had the chance to introduce ouselves to anyone.
We enjoyed the experience yet.
There were a lot of illustrators and writers looking for new contacts. There were editors and artists. There was creativity. There was art.
Many young people displayed their beautiful works and I had the certainty to be sorrounded by talented and skillful man and women.
It was a hectic day, very busy and too short. It was an explosion of lights and colours as only the children’s world can be.

Let’s hope next year we’ll go to Bologna for a long period! We know what is the problem in our company… We must be patient with him…
Kisses
